Catalog Requests We do not produce mail-order catalogs. You may order samples and a complete swatch book of Envelopments® products for a small fee.
Foreign Languages
We can print foreign languages when the letters are from the English alphabet.
Minimum Purchase Fees
There is a minimum purchase requirement of $100.00 on blank stock (with the exception of samples). A fee of $5.00 has been added to the shipping charges on orders totaling less than $100.00. A minimum purchase of 100 pieces is required for the price shown for printed invitations. You may order lesser quantities, but the price-per-piece is substancially affected. If you need limited quantities and are interested in flat printing, a custom quote on your specific invitation may be more cost-effective than ordering off the website. (Note: price breaks occur at 25, 50, 75, 100, and often 500. For example, if you need only 70, you may find it is actually less expensive to order 75.)
Printing Limitations
The Connection Site reserves the right to refuse to print any copy that may be considered harassing, profane or abusive in nature.
Customizing your Invitation
After you have completed your purchase in our store of custom invitations, you will have the option of e-mailing your text or using our online form to customize printed invitations. You can access this form here.
Color
Colors shown on our site are approximate representations of the actual paper. Because computer screens vary and are unable to correctly represent printed color, we recommend ordering a sample, viewing papers at a local stationary store, or sending us a swatch of the color you are trying to match. We will do our best to provide a pleasing match to your color scheme, but will not be responsible for non-matching colors. Please be aware of the limitation of digital proofing.
Returns
We do our best to make sure each item is shipped exactly as it is ordered. Please contact us as soon as possible if you have a concern with your order.
Samples
Our samples consist of a blank or printed invitation (please specify pocket folder or envelopment) including the printed layer, as well as a swatchbook containing all the Envelopments® cardstocks. Printed invitation/Pocket fold or envelopments® samples are limited to stock on hand. We will do our best to provide you with a sample in the stock and size that you are interested in; however, we cannot guarantee that the one you recieve will be the same color or size as the invitation you are interested in.
Security
We use PayPal to provide protection for your credit card information. Your credit card number will be encrypted for safe transmission. We DO NOT receive your credit card number at any time during the transaction. You are not required to sign up for an account with PayPal to use this method of payment. Your privacy is respected.

Blind Embossing
Blind embossing is a printing method where an image is pressed into paper resulting in a raised design. The embossing is termed “blind” because the design is formed without ink or foil. (Debossing is an image stamped onto paper or a napkin without ink or foil; it appears “indented.”)
Bright White
This shade is the ultimate in white, very crisp, pure and bright!
Card
Invitation cards do not fold, your wording is printed on the front.
Crystal Clear Envelope
A clear plastic envelope that allows you to show off your Envelopments® card while still in the envelope. Check with your post office, as extra postage is required.
Double Envelopes
Traditionally, a set of two envelopes was used with formal invitations and announcements. The outer envelope was addressed to the guest and may have your (the sender’s) address printed on the back flap. The inner envelope, with the invitation and enclosures was enclosed inside the outer envelope. The inner envelope carried only the guests’ names. With Envelopments-style invitations, most consider the pocketfold or envelopment to serve as the inner envelope and the second inner envelope is seldom used. However, we do have inner envelopes to fit some of the Envelopments products, should you require them. The inner envelope is also sometimes available with a coordinating liner; it is not gummed and is not sealed. These inner envelopes come as a set with outer envelopes that are designed to fit, and do not work with the Envelopments brand envelopes.
Ecru
This color is a warm creamy beige.
Embossing
Embossing is like blind embossing above, only this type of printing uses ink or foil on the raised area to add drama and dimension.
Envelofold
An Envelope-type enclosure that surrounds the invitation card with four corners that fold in to close. The Envelopments are usually sealed with a ribbon or mounting square. Invitations are usually mounted inside but may also be loose. When sealed with a mounting square or other seal, they can be mailed without an envelope. However, there are many envelope choices if you prefer to mail in an envelope.
Foil Stamping
This effect is achieved when colored foil is hot-stamped onto paper (perhaps a Christmas card) or accessory items, such as napkins. This is also the preferred method of printing a light type (white, cream, gold, silver, etc.) onto a darker paper such as black or brown.
Folded Card
Foilded Card are folded once, either to create a top or side fold, or 2 times as a gate fold or z-card.
French-Fold
A sheet of paper folded twice to create a four-paneled invitation is considered French-folded. This fold is most common with parchment invitations, and is not a standard Envelopments® style.
Gate Fold
A tri-fold is created when a sheet of paper is folded twice to form a three-paneled invitation. Both outside panels are folded inward to cover the center panel.
Layers
This term indicates layers of paper tied or glued together. If the top layer is translucent and the lower is decorative paper, you’ll see a muted version of the lower layer through the translucent top. Layered cards require customer assembly.
Liners
This term refers to the decorative paper used to line the inside of an inner envelope or a single envelope.
Panel
A panel is the center section of your invitation “framed” by a raised area of paper. It also refers to pages facing each other. For example, a tri-fold invitation when opened fully, has a left, middle and right panel.
Pocket Fold
A pocket fold features a base folder with a pocket to neatly hold enclosure cards or photos. Flaps and pocket shapes vary by size, so be sure to review the style & size chart prior to purchasing. Note: Pocket folds do not seal on all four sides, so you will want to enclose in an envelope prior to mailing.
Portable Pocket
The portable pocket is a pocket that can be used alone or mounted onto a folded card to hold invitations, photos, greetings, and more. One end of the pocket is open, so be sure to enclose in an envelope prior to mailing.
Short-Fold
A short-fold is created when a sheet of paper is folded once, not exactly in half, forming an invitation with a short front panel and longer back panel. This is not a standard Envelopments® style.
Thermography
This type of printing is created by adding a resin powder to wet ink, which when heated, creates a raised surface.
Translucent Envelopes
Translucent envelopes are made of sheer vellum. They are a little more expensive than traditional white or ecru envelopes, but elegantly show off your card inside.
Vellum
Vellum is a paper with a rich, smooth finish paper.
White
This shade is a soft white, like wedding gowns. It is a delicate hue.
Z-Fold
A z-fold is created when a sheet of paper is folded twice in accordion fashion to form a three-paneled invitation.

Personalized products are generally either flat printed or printed using thermography, which is a process which provides a beautiful raised lettering effect. Envelope flaps and photo cards are flat printed. Foil stamping is a more expensive an option, but works beautifully for black or darker stock, using white, silver, gold, or other colored foil. Letterpress, a debossed imprint, and Engraving, raised printing done in the traditional fashion, are also availble on certain invitation stocks.
