Design Notes:

Envelopments® C2 Cardstocks are available as Pocket Folds™, Envelopments®, Portable Pockets™, and any style of folded, Z, Gate, or flat cards. Please use Envelopments® names/colors when specifying your paper selections. Paper stocks are available in cut sizes. If you are not sure about a color or have something different in mind, you may contact us to inquire about additional paper selections we carry for custom cards from other manufacters that work well with Envelopments® products. See the styles & sizes chart for available cuts and exact sizing.

Metallic cardstocks are not recommended for most inkjet printers. However, they work wonderfully with many laser printers (rated for cardstock--best with a straight-through path), as well as for offset and thermography printing, letterpress, engraving, and foil. Light inks printed on darker stocks by laser, inkjet or thermography are not recommended (either C1 or C2); opt instead for flat offset, foil, engraving, or letterpress printing to achieve optimal results using light ink on dark stock. Most of the C2 stocks are 90 lb cover to 105 lb cover. We recommend that you test any cardstock with your printer to ensure printability prior to placing a large order. Samples cardstocks are available with our sample swatchbook.
Envelope Icon represents cardstock colors that also have envelopes in a matching stock.

*Note on Jupiter and Garnet Cardstocks from the paper manufacturer: "It has been brought to our attention that Garnet and Jupiter colors can rub off on lighter colors under certain conditions and uses. We are not entirely sure why some colors are doing this while others are not. Though the problem is limited at this point we would caution you to be careful when using these colors. In being made aware of this, we have also noticed the phenomenon potentially with Lapis, Pennyite, and Antique Gold." -- From EnvelopMe.com: We believe the problem to be more prevalent during the hot, humid summer months, and recommend that you take extra care during these times with any of these darker/intense colors marked with an asterisk*. You may request tissues to use with your invitation, and also remember to have the post-office hand-cancel your envelopes. Please use at your own risk.

A note on color: The colors shown above will vary by monitor and are not intended to be an exact representation of the actual paper color.
For Designers: We have attempted to provide you with the closest color match using the Pantone Color Bridge™ Coated (remember, this may not be exact, and these cardstocks are metallic). The spot color is used unless specified as CMYK. Please order a sample if in doubt.

A note on color names: Please note that different retail establishments may use different color names for the same or comparable colors, and others may use the same name for an entirely different color or product. If you have seen a color elsewhere, please be sure that the product name was from the official Envelopments product line, and not from another brand. We cannot guarantee that one of our products will match another line purchased elsewhere, nor can we guess the color that will coordinate with another brand that we have not seen. The color names used on this site are the official Envelopments® brand names, and many of these colors are exclusive to the Envelopments® product line.

Environmentally Friendly Stocks

Envelopments, Inc., the manufacturer of many of the products we carry, does not provide a complete listing of which of these cardstocks are environmentally friendly. Therefore, we have done independent research on the stocks carried by Envelopments to determine which have been manufactured in an earth-friendly manner. We are continually researching these stocks and will provide updates as we determine stocks we carry to be green.

On the "stock colors" tab, you'll see the following icons:

Stocks designated with a blue recycle symbol are Envelopments stocks that we have determined meet minimum recycled guidelines. These stocks contain a minimum of 30% post consumer recycled fiber*

Stocks designated with the FSC symbol meet the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) standards for responsible forest management and responsible use of forest resources. They may or may not include recycled stocks or alternative fibers.

Stocks designated with a green recycled symbol contain 100% recycled fibers, with at least 30% coming from post-consumer fibers. Stocks designated with a green recycled symbol and PC 100 contain 100% post consumer fiber.

PC 100 - Post consumer fiber is defined as material that is collected from end-users and recycled. Post consumer fiber is the preferred form of recycled material because it reduces pressure on our remaining forests, saves water and energy, and diverts solid waste from our landfills.
