Envelopments® C3 Metallics, Textured Metallic and Duplex Cardstock, Papers, and Envelopes

Design Notes:

Envelopments® C3 Cardstocks are available as Pocket Folds™, Envelopments®, Portable Pockets™, and any style of folded, Z, Gate, or flat cards. Please use Envelopments® names/colors when specifying your paper selections. Paper stocks are available in cut sizes. If you are not sure about a color or have something different in mind, you may contact us to inquire about additional paper selections we carry for custom cards from other manufacters that work well with Envelopments® products. A NOTE ON PRINTING:

If you plan to use any of these stocks as your printed pieces, please review the recommendations below.

Smooth Metallic cardstocks in this section are very smooth and slick, and may not work well for printing at home. Opt instead for commercial printing, or you may want to try the C1 matte stock (or possibly C2 if you have a laser printer). As with any of the stocks on our site we recommend you test it with your printer to ensure printability prior to placing a large order.

Textured Metallic cardstocks are not recommended for most inkjet printers or laser printers. However, some stocks may work with laser printers (such as those rated for cardstock--best with a straight-through path) although we have had limited success printing on the smooth side with certain laser printers on some cardstocks. Most stocks are suitable for commercial printing, including offset, thermography, Light inks printed on darker stocks by laser, inkjet or thermography are not recommended (either C1 or C2); opt instead for flat offset, foil, engraving, or letterpress printing to achieve optimal results using light ink on dark stock.We recommend that you test any cardstock with your printer to ensure printability prior to placing a large order. Duplex cardstocks are very heavy and will not likely feed through a laser printer. These are better suited to printing on a commercial press. It may be possible to print with an inkjet, as these are sometimes able to handle thicker stock, but please test before ordering a large quantity to be sure you will have success.

*Note on Jupiter and Garnet Cardstocks from the paper manufacturer: "It has been brought to our attention that Garnet and Jupiter colors can rub off on lighter colors under certain conditions and uses. We are not entirely sure why some colors are doing this while others are not. Though the problem is limited at this point we would caution you to be careful when using these colors. In being made aware of this, we have also noticed the phenomenon potentially with Lapis, Pennyite, and Antique Gold." -- From EnvelopMe.com: We believe the problem to be more prevalent during the hot, humid summer months, and recommend that you take extra care during these times with any of the darker/intense colors. You may request tissues to use with your invitation, and also remember to have the post-office hand-cancel your envelopes.
